Yard O Led Pocket Fountain Pen Barley Wave The legendary Pocket Fountain Pen from Yard O Led is presented in a new, masterfully refined version. Handcrafted from solid sterling silver and finished with gold-tone brass trim, this fountain pen impresses with its elegant shape and precise engraving. An enameled coin, set by hand, adorns the end of the barrel a fine detail that underscores the unique character of each piece. The redesigned pen features, for the first time, a screw-on cap that optimally protects the 18-karat gold nib. The cap screws securely onto the end of the barrel while writing a functional and aesthetically compelling innovation that is unique in the history of Yard O Led. This edition features the Barley Wave pattern. The intensely colored glass enamel is created at temperatures of up to 900 C, during which a thin layer of glass permanently bonds to the metal. The result is a glossy, exceptionally durable surface that is scratch-, chemical-, and heat-resistant. Its color remains brilliant for years, giving the fountain pen unparalleled depth and longevity. Enamel is one of the oldest forms of metal finishing and was already used in the 13th century BC to create the finest jewelry. Yard O Led is the first company to use this millennia-old technique for its writing instruments. The Victorian comes standard with dark blue enamel. White or light blue are available upon request.
